Not sure what to say?

Remembering a great brother and friend again. I learned so much from Hugh thru the few years I got to know him. He was always a cheerful and caring person to be associated with. He was always such a good mentor during our travels in the Ft Wayne Scottish Rite for so many years. God Bless his soul. we sure miss his frequent letters. Roger Weaver 33°

Hugh was such a dear man, thoughtful and engaged. I knew him in New Garden choir. He loved music and brought pieces to be considered and he sang well. We will miss him.

It was always a spirit-lifter to be with Hugh in the New Garden Meeting choir. He had a heart-warming smile, a lovely tenor voice, and a knowledgeable, passionate love of music. ( And his collection of unique bolo "ties" was impressive too.) I send loving thoughts and prayers for comfort to you, Joan, and to all your family.

What a radiant soul he was. I´m so glad I knew him. Blessings to Joan and the family.

I am so sorry to learn of Hugh´s death. He was such fun in New Garden´s choir, adding zest, insight, and ability. He was extremely proud of his grandson, Thompson, and often gave us updates concerning his lacrosse games. We will truly miss him and his gentle smile.

Hugh and my father were good fishing buddies, thinking that they are sharing some good fishing stories right now. Many fond memories of Hugh.

Mr. Hugh Vickers was truly a role-model to me. He was my athletic trainer (basketball and track) at Marion High School in the mid-1960s. Also, he was quite instrumental in my decision to attend Earlham College. Mr. Vickers affected the lives of so many in such a positive way. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Peace be with You.

There is a small number of teachers in my life that I considered a mentor. Mr. Vickers was one of them.

I have many fond memories of Hugh from my days at Marion H.S. and Oh that handshake. A truly good guy.
