Hugo Richard Noroyan

I met my wife at Hugo´s Armenian Deli. She and I both worked there for a couple years; she was in the front and I worked in the kitchen. Hugo was huge presence in our lives at the time. He had a personality that could fill a room. I have simply too many stories about him and Nyla to pick any one for retelling, but I will mention that he was always eager and willing to help anyone who needed a hand.

I did his ads in Good Times when he had the deli and we became close friends back in the mid 70's. Hugo was a legendary figure in Santa Cruz as anyone who knew would surely agree.
