Not sure what to say?

Hunter called me one day at home in the 60's, which was a surprise to me, and offered me a job supervising math students in their work at UNC. It was a great job and he was a good teacher. As a result, he helped me to receive my Ph.D in Math Education at UNC in 1976. I barely knew him and was quite pleased that he remembered me from one of his classes. I never did have an adequate opportunity to thank him and was sorry to hear that he had passed away. Dawson Carr

William (Bill) Noble and Louisa Booth Noble both from Albuquerque, NM send our condolences to the Hunter Ballew family. Hunter was an usher in our wedding at Longwood College; Farmville, Virginia on May 28, 1960. So though we lost touch over the years he was a very dear friend. He was also my math professor at Longwood College and was an excellent teacher - one of the best I've known. Several years ago one of my bridesmaids, Norrish Munson Rozgonyi, told me she knew he was at the...

Our condolences to the Hunter Ballew family. I grew up with Hunter in Nebo, N C when we were children. We enjoyed playing tennis at his home for many years. Hunter was a very special person -a kind and wonderful friend to everyone he met and a lot of fun. We were so proud of his many accomplishments in his life and he will always be remembered as my great friend.
