Hunter M. Gholson

We have lost one of the truest southern gentlemen of all time. I am a better person to have known him. May God be with you all during this tough time. He has left a legacy and a road map for life we should be honored to follow. Many glasses shall be raised in his name!

Hunter and I attened both high school and the University together. We were both Naval officers about the same time. He will be remembered as a true gentleman and someone that gave all he could to his community,state, and nation. This country would be blassed with more fine people like him to lead us during these trying times. God bless you Hortnese and your children.

Hunter was gem among men and truly the epitome of a Southern Gentleman; his wit was rapier sharp and it was my honor to have known and worked with him.

My sympathy goes out to the family of Mr. Gholson. I worked for a few months at the law firm there in Columbus in the early 80's and I found Mr. Gholson to be such a dedicated man to his profession. I'm sorry for your loss of Mr. Gholson and I know he will be missed by so many. My prayers are with you all.

My heartfealt condolences are with each of you during this most difficult time. I will never forget what a precious man Mr. Gholson was and I consider it an honor to have worked with him over the years. May you find peace and joy in the happy memories of him in the days to come.

Although I did not know Mr. Gholson, from reading his obit, it sounds as though he was a wonderful, giving, patriotic man. Thank you, Mr. Gholson, for your service to Mississippi and America through your work as a lawyer, family man, Ole Miss Rebel, and Republican. My deepest sympathy to the family and friends. May God hold you close and give you comfort and strength.

We will all miss Mr. Gholson's wit, which I daily looked forward to receiving. I am glad I was able to work closely with him this last year of his practice in an atmosphere of collegiality and camaraderie. He was a great lawyer and great man. He will be sorely missed.
