Not sure what to say?

To the entire Block family:
Many of those who already signed the guest book summarize the feelings I had for Mr. Block. I will always remember Mr.Block as the consumate gentleman, who always had time for me no matter how busy he may have been. I consider it a blessing to have experienced his values both in life and busineess. He was a delight to be around. My only regret is in having not met Mr. Block years earlier.

I was deeply sadden to hear about your father, we shared a very special relationship than spanned three generations. We used to say we knew each other before we were born.as our grandmothers Edith Turner and Kate Withers were great friends, and your dear grandmother Bettie and my mother Betsy Warden shared a life time. I loved your dear mother also and remember our trip to Spain years ago.Over the years your father and I shared this very special bond, and I am sadden that I can no longer call...

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Block family. I was honored to have enjoyed Mr. Block's company in many places from Poughkeepsie to Jamacia and points in between. Although the memories are from many years ago his friendship, humor, and dignity have always remained with me.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mr. Block's passing. He was truly the consummate gentleman and businessman. I admired and respected him from the first day I met him over 15 years ago. He was a big influence during a crossroads of my career. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Huntington Block was a great man with a long list of accomplishments. As his son-in-law, I saw that his greatest joy was his family. He treasured his time with us and he always took time to be in touch with our lives. I enclose a photo from one of our many family gatherings. We will miss him greatly. With love,
Dave Ratajczak

We, the Class of 1946 of the Virginia Military Institute knew "Bucky" Block as a devoted friend of his "Brother Rats" and a distinguished and generous alumnus. While only at VMI for a year before going to war, he was a Keydet in every bone. We saw him last at our 60th reunion in 2006 and he was the life of the party. Our class and VMI will miss him greatly and remember him with deep affection.

I worked for Mr.Block for 2 years, about 30 years ago. I still think of him and what a wonderfull boss he was. He treated his people with kindness, great generosity, and respect. My condolenses to hie family.

Thank you for your words. My father had a great love of life and living. His friendships were many and long. I think they, and his family, were the measure of his life. He passed in peace.

My condolences & prayers to the Block family. I was fortunate to have known Mr. Block since 1990 when I started working at Huntington T. Block Insurance. It was a privilege to learn from a true icon in the world of fine art insurance. He will be surely missed by everyone whose life he touched.
