Not sure what to say?

Thank you to Pat Henick for sending me a copy of the obituary. My memories of Hy Evans are rich and full of his smile, his gentlemanly manner and his wonderful family. I feel my life has been enriched by having Hy in my life. My best wishes to his wonderful family, wife Lilly and terrific children. Bonnie Greene Lawless

Dear Lilly and family, Just heard about Hy this morning from my son, Scott.... He lived a good full life. I remember the fun times we had with you two at the Markets and in Portland. He was one wonderful guy... My heart and prayers go out to you.....Love, Barbara Sparks (Mrs. Milt)

We so admired Hy. He was his own man. He called it as he saw it. He left his mark on life. All of us are better human beings for having been blessed to spend some of our years with him as a friend and neighbor.
Our deepest sympathies to his family, who he was so justly proud of.
Bill and Marion McKee

Please accept my condolences for your recent loss.

Wonderful memories of childhood resist the relentless flow of time. Many fond recollections of Mr. Evans and the joyous hours of youth spent at a warm and welcoming household always remain with me.

We wish the family the comfort of the memories that will last the rest of their lives. The greater the loss just shows the worth of the man.
Our sincere condolences. Kathleen Metz and Joe McDonald

I want to extend my condolences to all the family.

For over 25 years I called on and worked with Hy. He was one of the very best I knew in the furniture business.

He was always an upstanding gentleman. He was honest and his word you could 'take to the bank.' But the Evan's family knows all this, and surely he will be sorely missed.

Dear Larry and Carrie,

I have great memories of Mr. and Mrs. Evans. It was always fun to visit their house when we were in school at Oregon. They were a wonderful couple and always welcomed us warmly and seemed interested in each one of us.
Love,
Merry

Dear Evans Family: Hy was such a wonderful person we will miss his uplifting presence when he and Lil visited us often. Sincerest feelings of sympathy and sadness from us all in Davis, CA
Love,
Frank Moreen Moti

My sincerest condolences to all the Evans family.

Many people speak casually of close families. My perception is this is truely a close family and Hy was at the center of it.

I admired Hy's ability to laugh often and heartily. He was selfless in his sacrifice to support his children's education, all of which have achieved prominent careers.

As patriarch of the Evans family, his children's character and the manner in which they are living their lives, is...
