Not sure what to say?

I turn the clocks back to 1955, when I had the enviable opportunity to inhabit the Spotnitz home as "nanny" to three beautiful boys, each so special in the eyes of his parents. I think of them now-Henry, Alan, and Billy-in the loss of their Dad, who treasured them so dearly and nurtured each in his way and wish them sweet memories always. May Dr.Spotnitz's memory be for a blessing.

Dr. Spotnitz was a unique combination of sane and eccentric, decent and brilliant. No one has added more to clinical psychoanalyis than he did. I have been a practicing modern analyst for twenty years and no one has inspired my work as much as he. Greatest sympathy to the family.

My deep condolences to the Spotnitz family for their profound loss. For more than thirty years, half of my life, Dr. Spotnitz shared himself and in certain ways his family with me as I shared myself and my family with him. He was my psychological father, my analyst , teacher and supervisor and I grieve his passing.

I knew I had found my future analytic home after I heard Dr. Spotnitz at a conference in the 90's. He never disappointed me! I am so grateful that we had so much time with him.

My condolences to the Spotnitz family. Dr. Spotnitz was my supervisor for many years. He didn't say much but what he said is still with me. My favorites were "When is our next appointment?" and "You are doing a great job."

I never met Dr. Spotnitz, but my father Leo (who passed away in 1969) always spoke of him with the highest regard. Dr. Spotnitz was a mentor and friend to my dad. The world was very lucky to have such a wonderful man as Dr. Spotnitz live such a long, productive life.

My condolences to the family, colleagues and patients who are mourning the loss of this brilliant and charismatic man. He impacted my life and my work, and is sorely missed.
