Not sure what to say?

Hey Din - I can only smile when I think of all the shenanigans we went through over the years. Nothing but great memories, my friend. And by the way, did you ever find out if three of a kind beats two pair? I love you. Lorne Burns & Marie

I first met Ian when Susan Jacks of the Poppy Family went solo and had Ian Berry, Jim Mcgillvary and others in her band. I was a sound op with a then fledgling Rocky Mountain Sound. Although they were all a pleasure to work with Ian was the calm, steady and humourous influence in an often hectic and "spontaneous" touring life. He had a twinkle in his eye and was always there to listen. I have great respect for this man as a musician, friend and fellow human being. I only hope that someday,...

I will miss Din very much. He was one of our best. Rest in Peace, Ian. May your beer stein never run dry, and "May your neighbors respect you, Trouble neglect you, The angels protect you, And heaven accept you."

Last night I put on an album I recorded for the CBC years ago. I was very fortunate to have 6 Cylinder playing on a couple of songs without the studio guys that did most of the CBC sessions. Ian and Carl arranged some very funky sax parts to a couple of my songs. One in particular, "Back on the Road" catches people today, thirty years later in Pennsylvania where I live. Ian you are great player, great friend and a wonderful human being. I know he just raised the bar in whatever Angel band...

I know of no mountains named in his honour. I know of no statues, bearing his face. No kings or queens, who owe him their kingdoms. All I know, The world is a better place. I love you Ian,perhaps the funniest and sweetest man I ever met.

P.S. could you put me on the guest list up there?

The picture is perfect - that is exactly how I remember Ian. My condolences go out to Ian's family while in my heart and mind I walk down that old memory lane.

Just heard about Ian's passing from Cam Molloy. Perhaps one of the best things a death can bring about is contact among the living. Ian was a talented man and a friend. Valerie and I are saddened by his passing so young and will pray for his family

THE BEST BAND I HAD A CHANCE TO PLAY WITH WAS 6 CYLINDER FROM VANCOUVER. IT WAS HUMBLING TO BE ON STAGE WITH THE LIKES OF IAN. I REMEMBER IAN AS TRUE GENTLEMAN AND GREAT TALENT. SAD TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING.
