Not sure what to say?

Dear David and family,
I cannot find the words to express my condolences on the loss of Ian. I cannot fathom the depth of your grief, but only want to extend a hand to you, a prayer for a breath of peace, an offer of friendship, any time, any place. I am just so sorry.
Much love.

Dear David, Anne, Sarah, Emily and Lucy,
It is already tomorrow where I am and I have been praying for you all so much today. While my today is over for me, it is just starting for you – this day you never dreamed you would have to face. I pray that you are all feeling the prayers of your family and friends, the comfort of our Lord and Saviour.
I feel so privileged to have been such a small part of Ian’s life – he wouldn’t even remember me. He was just a munchkin when I used to look...

I had the privilege of coaching Ian last year as the assistant JV basketball coach for Northpointe. One of the first things I told my wife about Ian is he reminds me so much of myself at that age. He was always so kind and respectful to me and to his teammates. He was a hard worker and had a good basketball IQ. It was a pleasure to coach him and I am thankful to have met him. He truly will be missed.

We are praying for you as we cannot imagine the loss you are experiencing. ...

Our hearts are saddened to learn of this tragic loss, and we grieve with Anne, David, and Ian's sisters. We were so glad to have had the chance to meet this amazing young man during the Cobb family visit to AZ, and we pray for God's gracious blessing of comfort to all who knew and loved him.

Ian was one of my best friends and there are far too many memories too tell them all however I will just say our last memory together. Friday October 10th it was the morning of our senior skip day and me Ian and a few other friends were going to meet up at IHOP for breakfast and had a blast just talking about life and relationships the whole time and I still remember the last thing we said to each other I said I love you baby and Ian said I love you too Jear bear. I will never forget you Ian...

Such a tragic loss of a young man with so much to offer the world. Ian will be missed. Many memories of his smile, his laugh, his kindness, and his talent, we hope and pray that you will be comforted by those memories and the outpouring of love from his friends.

I am so grateful that Ian has left me with the joyful memory of him singing along with his music in the kitchen, while
