Not sure what to say?

Ian was an awesome guy. I knew him when he was an OB Resident. He will be truly missed.

Best doctor in Hilo will be forever missed !

Sending most heartfelt condolences to the Ebesugawa `Ohana. Ian was my doctor since my late teens, delivered all four of my children, and was just the greatest guy! I saw him on Dec. 22 for my annual checkup, and was probably one of his very last patients. (I even took a few pictures at his practice that day! He still had the same posters adorning the walls as the did in the early 90s.) Ian was truly the best. He was so personable and always made me feel so comfortable. His bedside manner and...

Sending much love and prayers to his Ohana. I want to thank his Ohana for sharing him with us. He´s has been a part of my Ohana for over 30 years. I am forever grateful for the care and friendship he gave me. A person and more importantly physician like him are rare. He took such good care of me and always made me feel safe. I will miss him dearly and so grateful I always thanked him with a hug. What am I gonna do now May God surround him and his Ohana with his loveRest in Love Doc Forever...

Ian was such a good friend to my husband, James and I. We first met him at UH in Hilo. James and Ian trained JKA Martial Arts together for many years. Then we all went to UH on Oahu finishing up our further education. We remember lots of laughs and great memories. Ian was a gentle, generous and thoughtful person. We will miss him so much. Our condolences to his beloved family. James & Asa McCarthy

Best Dr. Ebesugawa is the best ever! we love him so much and were so grateful that he took me in so late in my pregnancy with my daughter. Were saddened by the loss of him, but we know he's in a great place and will watch over all our babies in Hilo. Much love the Ramos Family.

I .remember Ian as an Ob-Gyn. resident at KapiolaniWomen'sandChildren'sMedicalCenter as part of the clinical faculty of the John A. Burn's School of Medicine. Ian was an exemplary student and physician in his conduct, patience, technical skills and self control. He was very easy to talk to, very courteous with the teaching staff, nurses as well as with the patients and medical students. I'm sure he will be missed much by his patients and colleagues. Sincere condolences to his family. George...

Ian and I were residents together at Kapiolani in the 1980´s. Residents always share a certain bond-having gone through a sort of hell together. We worked hard but had fun. Loved Ian. He was always helpful and cheerful. Good sense of humor. After not seeing him for 30 years, it was good to reconnect the past couple years. He was a wonderful friend.

Dr. Ebesugawa thank you for being such a caring comforting doctor to me for decades. If only you could know how many lives you touched. I don't know who I can find that I can be comfortable with as I was with you. Truly you were loved by many! My very deepest condolences to his family.....
