Dear Rosemary and family,I and some of the New Zealand Red Cross overseas delegates who knew Ian were deeply saddened to learn that Ian has passed away.
We remember him so very fondly as a very fine man with a great depth of fairness and understanding.
And hope his contribution to New Zealand Red Cross work internationally is known and recognised.

My thoughts are with Rosemary and the family at this terribly sad time. He was a special person and did much to make this world better a better place. Although my contact with Ian through work was limited, he never forgot a face and always said hello and talked.
