I have only recently heard that Ian has passed. I´m truly saddened by this news as I consider Ian a great man in the Australian Guitar community, and feel fortunate to have spent time in his company. I will think of him often when I play the instruments I have that he crafted.

Sad news. Many great memories of Friday night jam sessions out the back of the music shop. I made a video of him making a guitar from a bock of wood to playing it back in 1984. I still have a copy if any of the family want a copy. RIP Noycey. Bloody good bloke.

Ian was a great mate and a great hang, I always enjoyed spending time at Noycelands discussing guitars and the finer points of his craft. He was an utter genius and a gentleman. Condolences to Ian´s family and to Kurtis, my old school chum.
