Not sure what to say?

Thank you Ian for 25 years of friendship and an enjoyable work relationship. You were appreciated by all who knew you.

Through his work Ian helped so many people, many of whom would not even know they owe Ian their thanks. British Columbia swimming pools, their staff and visitors are all better because of Ian. A caring and passionate man, who made a difference. He will be remembered.

I consider it a privilege to have known Ian. As a colleague, he was always positive, looking for solutions that really worked. He made each of his co-workers feel special. As a soccer referee, his decisions were always measured. As a friend, his unrelenting humour and thoughtfulness brightened our lives. He will be very much missed and always remembered.

Ian, you were the straightest of arrows, and we respected you for that. You loved your work, it showed, and we were happy for you. When you and Edwina found each other we were happy for you again. And when you faced your greatest challenge, by your example you spread courage to all.

Ian, friend and colleague, know that your memory will remain strong among us. We loved you guy. You lived a good life. May you now rest in peace.

Sincere sympathies to the family from BC's swimming pool operators on the loss of a great man with a passion for pool operation and the safety of the workers. Ian was full of humour and a joy to work with; he will long be remembered.

Our lives were enriched with his friendship. His memory will be with us forever. Edwina we are thinking of you and wishing you comfort during this time of sorrow. Deepest sympathy to you and family.

Deepest sympathy to Edwina on the loss of your beloved Ian. Together you waged a courageous battle and I know he appreciated all the love, support and compassionate care you provided. May peace and comfort be yours as well as Ian's family in the days ahead. Carol Mhene

I consider it an honor to have known Ian. He was a very special person. My deepest sympathy to you Edwina, he will always live in your heart. God Bless You. Love, Bernice

He was the first man I ever loved, my biggest fan and my hero. I am truly thankful I had the chance to show him how much he meant to me and see him realize just how much he impacted the people around him.
Although I will never be ready to say goodbye, I am grateful for the life we had together - I will forever be Daddy's little girl!
