Ida Corl Bludger, 88, passed away Thursday at Sunnyside Care Center. She was born in Cortland, grew up in the Valley and spent most of her life in the North Syracuse area. She was the last surviving child of the late Merton and Mary Obridge Loch Corl.

Judy and family--We were in Syracuse (for Mom's burial) and went to the nursing home to visit your Mom but found out she had passed away several months ago. Please accept our belated sympathy wishes. Our parents and families sure had fun together! My Dad, Roland Fitch, met your Dad through Sea Scouts at about age 12 and considered him and later Ida as the Best Of Friends. To Judy and Family, please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of your great Mom. I worked with Ida at Mobile from 1980 to 1984. I was a young girl just out of college and she took me under her wing not only professionally, but also as my second Mom so to speak. She and I would talk for hours during our lunch breaks and she even taught me how to crochet during that time.
