Ida Helen Dewar beloved wife and mother passed away on August 6, at the age of 83 years. Helen was born, Ida Helen Parrott, in Hamiota, Manitoba, on March 11, 1927, to Alfred John Parrott and Alberta Payne Parrott. She is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years and her five daughters, Barbara J Daniels, Donna E Sanders, Diane L Dewar, Brenda C. Dewar, Linda J.(Tony) Harduar, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. Helen was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who enjoyed canning, quilting, gardening and candy making. She will be remembered by many who received her gifts of home canned fruits and jams, her excellent hand dipped chocolates and perhaps most of all by all the children who received her hand made baby quilts. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, 11am at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2nd Ward, 2004 N. Road 24 in Pasco. Bishop Steven Christensen will preside. There will be a public viewing on Wednesday August 11, 10-10:45, and Tuesday August 10, from 4-7pm. Burial will be at CIty View Cemetery following the funeral service.
