Ida Messina

Ida C. Messina, 90, of Scotch Plains, died on Monday, January 16, 2017. The Funeral will be on Saturday, January 21, 2017 from the Rossi Funeral Home, 1937 Westfield Ave. Scotch Plains, NJ 07076. The family will receive relatives and friends from 8:30-9:15. A Funeral Mass will be celebrate at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 10am. The Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery & Mausoleum.

Ida was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. She moved to Springfield in 1960 when she married the love of her life, her husband Frank. Then in 1965 she moved to Scotch Plains to raise her family. Ida was a Receptionist for Esso Standard Oil Corp. for 13yrs. before becoming a Homemaker. Ida loved her husband and her children and took pride in taking care of her household.

Ida is predeceased by her husband Frank J., and her sister Julia Swencionis. She is survived by her two daughters Maria Messina and Diana Hieb (Ryan); her brother Jack Cipolla; her sister Marge Gazzo; and her granddaughter Mia Hieb.
