Loving mother of Donald Portanova of Somerville and his former wife Judith of Pelham, NH, Leonard Portanova and his wife Terry of Norton, Sheila Fahey and her husband William of Boxford, Lorraine McDonagh and her husband John of Medford, Stephen Portanova and Patricia Knibbs of Wilmington, Sharon O'Brien and her fiance Paul Scioli of Newburyport. Sister of the late Rose Petrino, Emma McCarron, Sam Florio, Amelia Hanson. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq) SOMERVILLE, Thursday morning at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, Stoneham at 10:00. Seven years have passed it feels like forever, The twins and I were going through photos and found the one from Easter of you playing cards with them they still remember that day. I miss getting up in the middle of the night to give you a lemon drop, our walks outside or on the porch with you wearing my sunglasses my birthdays at night singing happy birthday to me and you not wanting to go to bed until you finished watching dancing with the stars well I hope youre up there still dancing
