Ida Berger Powell

From serving on the first board of the Society of St. Andrew Ida has been a very strong avocate for this hunger ministry for 46 years. We knew she was dedicated to this work of feeding the hungry. With all of this, I am so blessed to have called her friend. You will be missed sweet lady.

Prayers for the family and thank you for sharing Ida with the Virginia Home Economics Association. She was a wonderful leader and provided training for many of us. Kay Webb Burke, current VAFCS Executive.

My father, the late Rev. William James Burleigh thought so very, very much of ida and her husband Bill [ as well as soooo many wonderful friends, that were considered family, at Centenary United Methodist Church] I felt like I knew everyone there from Daddy´s love for ida , Bill, and all the very, very wonderful people at Centenary. Lots of love and prayers and ida was indeeed a very, very special , loving, , caring talented lady that will live forever in so many hearts.

The greatest lady I have been honored to know. Rest well!
