Not sure what to say?

I visited Jay as a home health aide, and remember Ida so fondly. She was always so kind and several times invited me to sit for a bite to eat. But what I remember most is a tradition my husband and I carry on to this day. After she and Jay would say their prayer before a meal, they would end with "I'm glad we're here together." She will never be forgotten in our household.

Although I only knew Ida for a short time as a home health aide, she made an indelible impression on my life. After spending time with Ida and Jay, our family, too, ended our supper time prayer with, "I'm glad we're here together.". Her tender care of her husband with fresh flowers by his bedside was inspiring. Losing touch with her after Jay passed, I'd think of her and her beautifully kept home, often, never thinking we would meet again at Schoolyard Square, years later. Although I was...

Cheryl and Bob and families:
Sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I remember our fun times together at your house and garden back in the late 60's, how time flies. All the best and God bless. Best wishes

Bob, Betsy, and families,
Ida was a fun lady. She was very involved in UMW in her day. I remember going her house to Christmas carole. She will be missed.

What a wonderful woman. I used to visit her and Jay in their gingerbread home as a home health aide to Jay. I remember sitting around their table eating some wonderful thing she baked, at her insistence. I remember them praying together, always finishing with "I'm glad we're here together." We adopted that saying at the end of our own supper time prayer. I remember the fresh flowers she had beside Jay's bed. What an inspiration. So blessed to have known her.

Cheryl and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time in your life . It is so difficult to imagine life without our parents. May you always be comforted by all of the great memories you have with your family.

Bob & Betsy, Cheryl & Steve,
Thank you so much for sharing your mother with us for the 5 years we were honored to serve her. We had a good run together-she was so pleasant.

Please accept our prayers of comfort at this time of your loss.

Sheri,Bob, & families

May your hearts be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. My aunt who took care of me.

Dear Family of Ida, I'll remember Ida as a beautiful lady in all ways. She was always ready with a friendly smile, "Hi" and little wave as I passed her in the hall or dining-room at Schoolyard Square.
Condolences to you on her passing.
