I am thankful that Mr. and Mrs. Bodie and their family were neighbors and friends of our family for so many years. I remember when her first book was published, "The Secret of Telfair Inn", using the Wilcox Hotel which at that time was boarded up and empty-beautiful but mysterious, as her inspiration. My Mother, Frances, got Mrs. Bodie to autograph two books, one for me and one for my sister. That was so sweet and so "cool", we young kids thought. She was always a model of grace and beauty....

Mrs. Rhoden was my 4th grade teacher at south aiken baptist. I very well remember meeting her mother Mrs. Bodie and her reading one of her books to us. She left a positive influence on alot of children. I know she will be greatly missed. So sorry for your loss.
