I'd like to take this time to give my condolenses to Idka's Family in this time of grieving. She was such an amazing person and such a good friend. I enjoyed being on our high school's basketball team together. Her spirit and presence was enough to light up a room. Such a funny and sweet girl she was. I only had the pleasure of meeting Idka once but it only takes once to make memories you'll never forget. I walked the Susan G. Komen with Idka, Ida, and the ladies of FCSU. All Saints'Day. A holiday in Slovakia. A day when Slovaks visit the graves of their loved ones and adorn the grave with flowers and candles. I cannot visit the grave of my dear friend Idka, but on this day, in the tradition of her beloved Slovak heritage, I planted a mum, lit a candle and said a prayer for the repose of her soul.
