Not sure what to say?

Dearest Ignacio and Estella,

We love you so much and are deeply saddened to learn of your loss.

With love and sympathy, we are your friends always,

Tio Nacho was an extrodinary man with many gifts and talents! He was
a man that was dedicated to his family, his work, his church and most of all his Maker! He was kind and giving. I have every faith and hope that we will see him in Heaven! Until then may he rest in God's arms in peace. I envy him that he has no more pain, sickness, sadness or sorrow to bear. It is sad for the family left behind, but we will be joined with him one day when we will never have to part again ever! ...

When I was growing up in Galveston, I will never forget the kindness and generosity extended to my family by Mr. Mendez and his family whenever we had to leave Galveston for a hurricane. He was my father's (Vicente Gongora) cousin and truly believed in "la familia". Mr. Mendez and his wife both were two of the warmest and sincere people I have ever met. The world needs more folks like Mr. Mendez these days.

My condolences to Mary Lou and all the Mendez family and extended members. May he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to the Mendez family on the loss of your father. He was truly a man of great strength and character. His love of God and his family was apparent till the day he left this world. May God bless your family and provide for you during this time of sadness.

Mr. Mendez, a true pillar of the catholic and hispanic community of Elgin, Tx. A man of character and respect. I respected him and his wife as elders during my religious formation and simply learning to be a good christian. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Mendez and pray for me Mr. Mendez. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends. Thomas Lopez, son of Jimmy and Emilia Lopez, grandson of the late Lonnie and Theresa Lopez

With deep sympathy.
