Ileana passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018. Ileana was a resident of Schertz, Texas at the time of passing. She graduated from Martin High School and held a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from CUNY. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial mass on Thursday, 16 August 2018, at 2pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Selma, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ileana's name to San Juan: Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle National Shrine, where she and John received a special blessing for their 50 th wedding anniversary.

One of my favorite memories is the time Ileana, Sandra, my mother (Mary), and I spent the day pampering ourselves at a high-end spa. Afterwards we lounged in the guest robes provided to us (they were so plush) and had "fancy" food that we made fun of. We shared laughter and enjoyed that perfect mother/daughter moment. Though beloved Ileana has passed on, that memory can never be taken away and will always be cherished.
