To the family, friends, students and everyone else that was blessed to know Imelda. In one way or another she touched all of our lives. She was strong as evidenced by her long struggle. She was confident and independent. She was a good friend to many...always being there in a time of need. I admired her for always taking one step forward and refusing to take a step back, comforting others all the while. Imelda is and always be an amazing influence in all of our lives. May your heart be...

Dearest Ramos Family,
I was so saddened to hear about Imelda's passing. She and my mother, Isela V. Gonzalez, mentored teachers together via Region One's program. From day one, they connected on an intellectual, spiritual and emotional level. My mother adored her and always included Imelda in her daily prayers. On numerous occasions, Mom made it a point to include Imelda's name in her many personal petitions written within the margins in her treasured bible. I shared these with Imelda...

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "Come to Me". The pain endured cannot be relieved, the loss can never be replaced, the memories can never be cast away; but with some amount of compassion, thoughtfulness, gentle words, one can surely help ease the pain. These condolence messages will help remind you, that although death separates us from one another in body, in spirit, the person always remains alive. Alive through the kind words...

Estella, Joe, and Omar,
I am so sorry for your loss. Imelda was my student in San Diego HS in 1966. She was such a good student: so attentive and so eager to learn! Ten years later we were both employed by SDISD as she proudly coached The Lady Vaqueros. Through the next 30 some years, I was always happy to hear from you about her many accomplishments. You spoke of her with such pride . I know you will miss her. I am sorry I can not attend services, but my prayers will be with you.
