She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Olga Taylor. She was the mother of Doug Hopper (Bonnie), Dave Hopper (deceased) (Patty), Steve Hopper (Sarah) and Sheila Lambiase (Bob); proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, Tonya Hopper, Kristina Hopper, Tommy Hopper (Sarah), Danny Hopper, Jessie Hopper, Andrew Hopper (Brady), Madison Hopper, Matthew Hopper, Adam Hopper, Max Hopper, Jenna Lambiase and Julia Lambiase; loving sister of Larry Taylor (deceased), Mary Ann Bierbaum (Kenny-deceased), Ken Taylor (Catharine) and Tricia (Pat) Stephens (Joe); dear aunt of Sharon Boland (Craig), Judi Swinney, Alex Stephens, Larry Hopper, Jr. (Christean), Jeffrey Hopper, Melissa Meade (Marshall), Timothy Hopper (Laurie), Christopher Hopper and Scott Hopper (Mendi); dear sister-in-law of Don Hopper (Carolyn) and Larry Hopper (Shirley); a great-aunt and friend to many.
She was a dedicated realtor and homemaker. She also spent a few years as a substitute teacher for the St. Louis Special School District. During her long life she loved to travel, golf, bowl, spend time with friends and was a competitive card shark. She loved her monthly Bunco games with close friends, traveling to craft fairs and buying gifts for her family. She loved roses, especially the Tropicana variety. In her younger years, she loved playing basketball and wiffle ball in the backyard. She selflessly took care of her mother for years, was a very dedicated wife and was the best mother and mother-in-law to all of her kids. She spent many years supporting Pedal the Cause as a volunteer or cheering on her Team Hopper.
More than anything, she loved spending time with her sons and daughters and their families at their farm, lake house and any celebration that brought them together. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her by her strong faith, kindness and grace.
