As a child I always admired my friend Pat's mother. Gene had such a warm, bubbly personality. She always had a smile on her face. My own dear mother, Alma Modesto, found Gene to be a warm caring friend. After I moved from Hershey, my mother would tell me, "Gene asked about you" or Gene sent her love."
