Imogene Powell

Oct. 1, 1938 - May 28, 2016 of Hoover, passed away on Saturday at the age of 77. She retired from Brasfield & Gorie Construction after 43 years of service and was a member of First Church Birmingham. She is survived by a sister, Ruth Powell; 2 brothers, Hoyt and Hiram Powell; nieces, Beverly Powell and Shanda Cotney; nephews, Wendel Powell (Ami) and Timothy Powell (April); great nieces, Anna and Allie Cotney and Abigail Powell; and great nephews, Clay Cotney and Steven Powell. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 10 to 11 AM at Riverchase Baptist Church. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 AM with Rev. Jeff Greer and Rev. Keith Thomas officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Big Oak Boys Ranch. The family extends a special thanks to Oasis Hospice and Home Instead.
