Great Lady worthy of much honor. She volunteered at East Highland UMC in the kitchen until she relocated to live with her son. Wednesday luncheons charge $3.00 and raise money for multiple missions, offer a 20 minute talk, and fellowship of Christians from all denominations. Johnnie would usually be at the window handing those in line a plate with the featured food of the day. She was an inspiration to all lucky enough to cross her path. Miss Jonnie was my first Sunday School Teacher when I was three years old. I remember her as a loving friend who always watched out for us East Highlanders. My sympathy to all of you.

So, so sorry for your loss. A woman like Ms. Johnnie has touched so many lives. She and I sat together at church on Sundays at East Highland. I can still hear her singing each song that she knew by heart. Of course, it wasn't usually at the same timing as everyone else due to her hearing.
