Unfortunately I was unable to attend the Memorial Service for Ingeborg. I am the daughter of Maja Christensen and John Christensen, my Mother and Ingeborg were the best of friends and my Mother used to take care of Ingeborg's sons when she worked. After work Ingeborg would stop in at our home on Beacon Hill and they would sit and chat in danish, have their coffee and cookies or cake. I enjoyed listening to their conversations. Ingeborg and I were great friends for many years at Foss where I worked in the activity department. I could always count on her to come play bingo with me, have a piece of cake, sing, dance, cook, or simply chat with me! I was lucky enough to get to know dozens of her friends and family, too. Ingeborg reminded me daily that life was to be lived out loud, and taught me that the little things were of no consequence when all was said and done. Our family has many fond memories of the Washington Hall and Ingeborg's wonderful Danish cooking.
She gave so willingly to others so they could have a better life in this country.
