I am so saddened to learn of John's passing. I grew up in the neighborhood and we would some times walk home from elementary school together. I have seen John numerous times over the years and one thing that always stood out was his smile. It was always there and always welcoming. I am so sorry to hear of the loss of one of my longtime best friend John. We went to school, worked after school (at Magees Butcher Shop) & were neighbors for many years.
