Uncle Iralee was like a second dad to me for many years. We had the best times in his swimming pool in Ojai. He always made us kids laugh. I will cherish his memories for the rest of my life.

I remember having lots of fun with uncle Ira when I was a kid. He was a great guy. I will never forget him.

Ira was my Sunday School teacher for several years.
As others have stated here, he always was cheerful, and he really knew how to make us laugh with his jokes. He took us on fun trips. Ira was an amazing man, and a great father to his own children, and a terrific father figure to the rest of us kids.
What a pleasure and an inspiration.

Mr Carney was the driver for bus #1. The Wheeler Canyon group had to catch the Santa Paula High school bus down to an orchard near Briggs school and one could always count on Mr Carney to be right on time. What great childhood memories I have of Mr Carney. Never a cross word, always a smile and he took care of Briggs school.
I will think of him as I take my oldest girl down to catch her first bus to kindergarden this fall.
God bless you Mr Carney and our condolences to your...

Growing up, attending Olivelands and Briggs, I have fond memories of Mr. Carney. He was a very kind man and loved to make us laugh! May he rest in peace.

I wish to express my condolences to Mr. Carney's family. I rode on the bus to and from school everyday from K-8th grade on Mr. Carney's bus. He always greeted us children with a smile. He sang songs to us and at times had the entire buss full of kids singing along. He was genuinely a kind person and an inspiration to all of us kids. When we acted up he told us he was scolding us because he, "cared about us." The bus was always silent after that. May he rest in peace.

My brother and I attended Olivelands and Brigss Schools where Mr. Carney was our bus driver.
I remember the first time I rode on his bus, and learned that his name was "Mr. Carney", I was in first grade, and I talked with him and shared that my last name too was Carney.
Mr. Carney always had a smile on his face and would sing on the microphone during our rides to and from school. I still remember those songs, "She'll Be Coming Around the Mountain" and "The Bedbugs Song"
