Ira was doing his wonderful One-Man-Band performance on our friend's boat when I first met my future husband. We saw him many more times and he always remembered and brought joy to all of us fortunate to have known him. Heaven is lucky to have him!

Ira entertained us in the 80's at Tuba Man's on University Ave.....he packed em' in, mostly younger folks (kind of unusual at the time, but so was Ira), enjoying dixieland music-Ira's singing and great trumpet playing.....and during the past several years, Ira performed his 'one man band' show before our band went on at the Silver Gate Yacht Club....his jokes and comments between songs were terrific/classic....we'll miss ya' Ira....it won't be the same.....I hope it is comforting to your...

Grandpa Ira was a man of many tallents. He will alway be missed.

We go back many years! Ira played for so many political events and just two years ago he played for my mother's 90th birthday. How ironic, she passed away in April of this year and up to the end was still talking about her wonderful birthday party and Ira's smile and happy music. He touched so many lives. He truly will be missed but always remembered.

For many years Ira would entertain us at San Diego Yacht Club. I felt he was a very sincere and caring man. Michael Foster
