Not sure what to say?

Missing you Dr. Hicks. Darrell Hicks is awesome. I know you are watching over us. My wife and love you forever.

I remember him as a man of integrity and a role model for the male students.

Dr. Ira Hicks was truly loved by my family. My father, Lenoris E. Abrams Sr., consistently spoke of his respect and admiration of Dr. Hicks. My mother speaks of Mr. and Mrs. Hicks’ hospitality and graciousness during their many visits to FVSU. The Abrams family sends love and light. Please know that Mr. Hicks left a legacy that will be forever felt!

To Darryl and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Dr. Hicks will be greatly missed but not forgotten. He always had some advice for almost any situation. In moments of sadness, remember the good times and his “big laugh”. He will long be remembered by many people.
Sincerely, Drs. Clinton and Virginia Dixon

Family this is a hard one. As we grieve, I reminisce, and begin to smile. Cousin Ira was such an inspiration and mentor to those whom he met and to our family. I watched how kind and loving he was to his beautiful wife whom he cherished and treated as his queen. I would often tease him and tell him to make sure he was cloned. During our Family Reunions cousin Ira gave us history, imparted his wisdom, keep us honest, and brought joy, laughter, vim, vigor, and vitalityWith him. We will all...

Dear Ann , Darryl and Family,
Even as we mourn, we can remember the good times. Be comforted by the love, and celebrate a life well lived.
With deepest sympathy Ruby Myrick family, and grandchildren.

To my Beloved Family, I want you to know that we are near via my heart and mind. I wish I could be there with you all, but as I remember Ira, he will always be near me in spirit. My love and sympathy is right there with Ann, his children, grands, sibling and the rest of our family and friends as I grieve and rejoice with you his home going. Your Relative, Yvonne Hicks Thornton in Cincinnati, Ohio

Darryl, prayers and condolences go out to you and the family in the passing of your father and the pillar of the Hicks family. Wishing you strength and comfort for the days ahead.
