Ira Konigsberg

I still think of you every time I watch a Kubrick film. You walked into a big room after we watched 2001 and you said "what can you say about a movie that is about everything". That memory will always stick with me. RIP

My deepest condolences. Professor Konigsberg was my favorite professor at U of M. I am sorry for your loss. May he rest in piece.

Oh, this is a big one for me. I worked for Ira Konigsberg , who was the Dean of the Film and Video (now Screen Studies, I believe) department at the University of Michigan where I received my undergraduate degree. This was my work study assignment and I loved being there. I met some of the most amazing people in my life through him and I learned a ton from his wisdom. I remember so vividly a memory being in someone´s student film and I was really bad. I was terrified to see it at the student...

I cherish Ira's love of movies, books and stories. Also his years of organizing special film screening for students and the community at the Michigan Theater. Ira will be deeply missed. Deepest love to his family.
