May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Ira was not afraid of anyone or anything. An incredibly strong woman, she reached out to other women and was a powerful role model. She helped me in some very specific ways and to this day I am grateful.

To the Lively family, Ira's light will never burn out it will only flicker differently. She touched so many lives and made such a difference where ever she walked that her light and flame will live forever.

Illona and family, I was sorry to hear of your loss. It is never easy to lose those that you love, but may you find peace and comfort in knowing that God will surround all of you with peace and love. JoAnn Burns

I had the honor of meeting Ira Lively in 1970 when I was a 16-year-old at Monterey High School and took a job as a "Community Aide" at the Seaside Police Department. Ira was the Juvenile Officer and was very well-respected throughout the Seaside community. I surely benefited from the time I spent learning from her. My condolences and respect to her family. I know she rests with God.

Ms. Lively was our real life hero in Seaside. She was a black woman. A black officer. I had not seen any woman look like her. She was respected! She was an idol, she was somebody in SEASIDE! Rest in peace Ira.

Ira, You will be missed by so many who knew you. As a child I remember all your talks at Fremont Jr High and Drive In Eat.
Rest in peace sweet lady

I knew Ira when she worked at Seaside PD and I was at PGPD. Ira was the person who knew about the kids in Seaside, and if you needed help with one of them she was always there, knowledgable and ready to help. Our deepest sympathies and prayers to the Lively family. She lead an honorable and respectable life, and now she has gone to her glory.
