Not sure what to say?

Just tried to call Doc this evening and learned of his passing. Such a great human being! He spoke very highly of his family every time I was ever around him. What a great world it would be if everyone could be more like Doc. My condolences to all who knew him.

We just learned of Ira's passing, and we are so very sorry for your loss. Ira was such a wonderful person. It was and honor and a pleasure to have known him. Our condolences to his family and many friends.

Great Dr. who I will always remember. Rest well.

Wonderful memories of Dr. Mersack. I think we were some of his fist patients in dermatology in lexington and until he retired. He will always be remembered and he will be missed. Bless all those who knew and loved him and his family. As a patient we always felt remarkably lucky to be in his presence. He was kind and full of joy.

I knew Dr. Mersack as I worked with him in Dermatology. Such an amazing person. He will be missed!

I first met Ira when I was in college, then did my Dermatology rotation with him. He was a friend, mentor, and later, my partner. Ira loved Anita and his daughters beyond measure. Mat he RIP.

First, but not surprising, I had no idea Jeff knew my former dermatologist, nor that I was a patient of Dr. Mersack. However, during surprisingly long office visits with him, I learned just a little of why he was so respected and befriended many, if not most, of his patients. I could not have better expressed the genuine feelings than those of Shirley McQuillan and Mark...

My condolences to his family and friends. I met Ira when I was at college at UK, rotated as medical student in his dermatology clinic as medical student, and later, became one of his partners. I don't believe I ever met a doctor so eager to see and help patients, he was agreat mentor and friend. His love for Anita was without equal as was his love for his daughters and grandchildren. I will always treasure his sage advice and friendship. May he RIP.

Ira was a mentor and a friend to me. I have missed seeing him every day. I miss the outings to Keeneland with him and Anita. I will never forget him.
