In 1960 Mrs. Ballou made my prom gown that I drew on a piece of paper from a dress I had seen in Worcester. The dress was beyond the budget for my Mother and Mrs. Ballou who was also our landlady graciously accepted the challenge. I was the belle of the ball and I am forever grateful for her giving me that memory. Always very kind to me and my Mom and quick to take care of our needs.
