Irene Bessette

I worked as Irene's personal secretary for 3 years in the 1970s at Kingston University before my return to the UK. We kept in touch until recently sharing updates of our families. She was an extremely kind and compassionate boss and friend with a wry sense of humour. I feel privileged and proud to have known Irene and my memories of her will stay with me always. Rest in peace dear Irene.
