Not sure what to say?

The world is certainly a duller place without dear Renie! I'm missing her particularly now as the WCAA draws down to its end in June 2024 (50 years after Western's last graduating class).

I am deeply saddened to discover this news today. Professor Bierman-McKinney was one of my favorite professors at UCLA, and I enjoyed her Islamic Art & Architecture class so much! Even when I reached out to her after college, she was kind enough to respond and give me advice :) She was very inspiring! My heart goes out to her family and loved ones.

From the time we were in college together, I knew Rene as an extraordinary woman whose intellect left you in awe even as she was a dear warm, down-to-earth, funny friend. I will miss her sorely.

Dear Renie and all those near and dear, Carlton and her brother, friends.

My deepest condolences to Irene's family. She was a great scholar, colleague, and friend. I also express condolences on behalf of the Islamic Studies Program at UCLA. Irene was an essential member of this Program and a teacher and mentor to many of its students. Irene, we will miss you!

My sincerest condolences to the McKinnery Family. May the God of all comfort (Psalms 83:18) help you during this difficult time.

Dear Carlton And Family
