Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathies to your family, friends and sweet creatures, Nolen. I am glad that R-MWC brought us together. You were one of a kind and the world is a sadder place without you in it.

I am deeply saddened by news of Nolen's passing. My sympathies to her family from a fellow R-MWC alumna.

Karen Preston class of 1980

I express my deepest sympathy to the Clark family on their loss, and my prayers are with you.

I am very saddened by Nolen's passing. We reconnected several months ago through facebook and I had hoped to see her at our reunion next year. I know she will be missed by many.
Robin Glick Baum, R-MWC 1980

I was Nolen's counselor at Camp McDowell in the early 1970's. Recently I came across ALL of the letters she wrote to me back then (the early beginnings of her Facebook jottings). I was even told she went to Randolph-Macon Woman's College because I went there. If that's true, I'm honored. Regardless, Nolen left us too early and she will be missed by so many--including me. Rest in peace, my friend.
Beth Oliver Ballentine (R-MWC 1977)

Dear Nolan,

You were a treasured friend. How we shall all miss you, your laughter, your sense of humour, your caring ways toward others and your beautiful photographs. You were a remarkable woman.

My sincerest sympathies to your family and friends.

My deepest sympathies to all of Nolen's family and many friends. I've learned a lot about her in reading the entries in this guest book. I knew her as a member of the RMWC alumnae community that came together in 2006 to share our unhappiness at what had happened to our beloved college. But beyond that, she was a voice of compassion for others in need. We will all miss that voice. My thoughts and prayers are with all who knew and loved her.

God bless you, Nolen. I learned much from you and will always remember the too short amount of time we shared riding horses, bikes, and enjoying the dog park.

I am so sorry to hear this news. Nolan and I went to R-MWC together. I emailed her just last month to discuss class rings. I always enjoyed reading her entries on Facebook as a way to keep up with her. She seemed to have a very full and busy life. I know she will be missed. Lisa Manning Urban
