I´m so sorry to hear of Aunt Irene´s passing. She was a strong Ute Woman who I had a lot of respect for. She was a role model to me and I admired her strong leadership qualities as a tribal council woman. What made it even stronger was that she spoke Ute and her love for our Ute people. She encouraged me and gave me advice over the years. I am going to miss her very much. Rest In Peace now Aunt Irene you will always be forever in my heart.
