I'm Irene's friend who lives in Japan and I am devastated! We met at Lakeshore back in 2001 & I thought she was one of the most interesting people I've ever met. We became friends, and I always look forward to our visits each summer when I return. I am so saddened by this news. She was my hero and motivation for improving my own health. We enjoyed many long discussions in the water & over long lunches. She will be sorely missed . . .
