Irene Epperson

Ep, Jim and family,
I have many fond memories of my Aunt Irene. In 1953 she made my wedding dress. It was white eyelet over yellow. There were at least thirty small round buttons down the front of the dress plus 8 buttons on each sleeve that had to be covered in the dress material plus she had to make loops for each of the buttons. Truly a labor of love.

Whenever my mom needed someone to watch me when I was young, Irene was always there. I still remember the baloney sandwiches and the windmill cookies. We attended the same church and when I didn't want to go she would convince me with a bribe of $.25 to go. She was a wonderful lady.
