Mrs. Irene Franks, 87, of Iuka, Mississippi, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on March 1, 2006. She was a charter member of the Iuka Gospel Chapel. She loved her church activities, church trips to “Campground”, Christian music, and her family. She would often express that she had eight children, all of which she was proud.

Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 2, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. A tribute will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 3, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jim Edwards. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements.

Survivors include 7 daughters, Alta Jones and husband, Cliff, Shirley Dotson and husband, Gene, Ruth Lovelace and husband, Leroy, Dee Forbes and husband, Bob, and Linda Lambert and husband, Jerry, all of Iuka, MS, Lee Williams and husband, Roy, of Germantown, TN, and Kathy Warren and husband , Ed, of Lakeland, TN; 1 daughter-in-law, Diane Franks of Booneville, MS; 11 grandchildren, Angela Agee of Dyersburg, TN, Lee Ann Robertson of Iuka, MS, Page Mathis of Indianapolis, IN, Sherry Metherall of Lakeland, TN, Chris Middleton of Henderson, NV, Lori Franks of Hernando, MS, Bradley Franks of Booneville, MS, DeeDee Middleton of Daytona Beach, FL, Paul Warren of Orlando, FL, Jeremey Lambert of Starkville, MS, and Matthew Warren of Knoxville, TN; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brodis Lee Franks; and her only son, Jerry Wayne Franks.

I n lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Iuka Gospel Chapel Educational Fund.
