Not sure what to say?

Dear Ari,
Please accept my sincere sympathies. I met your mom when you were in the Nursery School at MKSD. She was a beautiful, intelligent woman and always very kind to me. She loved her family very much and always wanted what was best for you. You will miss her but she is in a special place in your heart. Sincere sympathies. Dot Loesch, MKSD

Evelyn and I had only known Irene for three years before she passed away but in that short time we became true admirers. There was something special about her that is hard to describe with words on a page. Perhaps it was her warmth, or her intellect, or her sincere way of making you feel important, or a hundred other things, but one thing is certain – she was a special person that will be sorely missed by both of us. The dignity with which Irene handled the last year of her life was truly...

I met Irene on a number of occasions, and everything she said and did reinforced Bianca's previous characterizations of her wonderful mother. She will be greatly missed by a great many people--more than she (or anyone else) perhaps would have surmised.

To the Gersten Family,

In a time of loss like now, I hope it will redefine the togetherness on a different level, on the level of spirituality, now that Irene has left her physical world. I've only met Irene once, enjoying breakfast during her last visit out here in Los Angeles. I'm sorry for your loss, and will be praying for your ability to live your lives to the fullest, including Ari.

Dear Gersten Family:
The PDS community was saddened to learn of your loss. We extend to you our sincere condolences. May the support of family and friends help you through these difficult months.

Dear Michael, Ari and Bianca,
I was stunned and have been crying all day after reading Irene's obituary in today's paper.
I loved Irene and the world has lost an extraordinary human being. During my difficult divorce, no one was more supportive than Irene and even though our friendship ended over my not being able to reciprocate appropriately, I will always consider her one of the closest friends I ever had. I will never forget our lunches together, the dinners in your home, the...
