Irene E. Harrington passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Virginia Hospital Center. She is survived by her husband Gerald Harry Harrington; daughter Jerrie Harrington; and grandchildren: Nicole, Gabriella, Marielle, Faith, and Wolfgang. A viewing will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Everly Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA, 22302. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Capital Caring, 2900 Telestar Ct., Falls Church, VA, 22042.
Aunt Irene loved the Lord and she loved her family. She was direct and honest. She touched her families life with her creative witty sense of humor that never put a person down, but always inspired and made you think twice. She will be greatly missed.
