Irene Hollister was an extraordinary woman and mentor, and I feel privileged to have known her and worked with her. She combined graciousness and warmth with unparalleled acumen and strength. Bard Graduate Center in New York City will hold a tribute to her on Tues. March 22nd in conjunction with the Hollister lecture series, which she and her husband Paul Hollister generously supported.

Irene was such a special. lifelong friend. Stanley and I have so many happy memories of times shared with Paul and Irene. As adults, Irene and I learned we grew up across the street from one another on Clinton Street in Toledo , Ohio. Our lives were enriched by knowing her so long. We will miss her.
