Irene Mae Kirby

WEST COLUMBIA:Services for Irene Mae Kirby, 90, will be held at 3pm Wednesday, November 21, 2007, in Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Paul Aebischer, Rev. Virginia Aebischer and Intern Jason Antley. Interment will follow in Lybrand Cemetery. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Scattered Cheer Sunday School Class with Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7pm this (TUESDAY) evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 1000 B Avenue, West Columbia, SC 29169.

Mrs. Kirby, widow of F. Sewell Kirby, died Monday, November 19, 2007. Born in Dry Fork, VA, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Minnie Carolyn Kirks Haymore. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church and was retired from Belk Department Store. Mrs. Kirby was a member of the West Columbia Garden Club.

Surviving is her daughter, Patricia Kirby Scyphers of West Columbia; five grandchildren, Clay Scyphers, Mark Scyphers, Sharon Tindal, Sarah Grubbs and Patti Rowell; also eight great grandchildren.
