Karen, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember how special your mother was to you and how strong a person she was. I know how difficult this time must be for your family and my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family- sorry I could not make it to see your moms viewing, I was out of the state and only heard last night. My sympathies to Mr. Kube and family. Mrs. Kube was a multi-tasker before it became popular...when I would get off the bus for 4H, the Kube home would be busy with milking cows, cooking, & kids doing homework--with Mrs. Kube at the center; orchestrating it all. I am here for you Karen Lavrick, you were my rock for quite a few years and has always been there for me so I will try to be there for you... I know you thought alot of your mother, that is great in itself, even thou I did not get to know her, by the few visits I had with her, but I felt the love of a family between the two of you and the love of family. Know she will be greatly missed by the people she touched in life.

I have Irene to thank for the sewing skills I have today. She was a SUPER 4-H teacher and mentor 40+ years ago!

I was very sad to hear about Irene's passing. My earliest memories would be 4-H class and most recently seeing Irene each summer at my parent's 4th of July get together. What a talented, sweet, and caring woman. I feel lucky to have known her.
