It was my privilege to work with Irene when she was the principal at Humboldt. During that time she was very supportive of our work with 4 year old children and later when I applied for a Fulbright Exchange. I always found her very approachable and even if the decision did not go in the direction I had planned, I walked away with an understanding and faith in her consideration.
